Set in one of the most beautiful locations on the Norfolk Broads, our friendly club offers sailing, powerboating, paddleboarding, and canoeing for all ages and abilities.

With a proud racing heritage, RYA-approved training, and year-round social events, theres something for everyone — whether you want to race, learn, explore, or simply relax on the water.

New members, families, holidaymakers, and visiting watersports enthusiasts are always welcome.

RYA Training

As an RYA Approved Training Centre, we offer high-quality sailing and powerboat instruction for all ages and abilities. From beginners to experienced sailors, our courses provide structured learning in a safe, supportive environment.

We run a variety of RYA courses throughout the year our first three day course runs over the Bank Holiday from the 23rd to the 25th May. 

Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping members gain confidence, competence, and enjoyment on the water. 

New instructors are also welcome to join our team.

Inclusive for children and families

Were a welcoming, family-friendly club with activities for all ages. Children and young sailors can develop skills through T-Sails, RYA courses, and regular Sunday junior and novice races, with guidance from experienced fleet racers.

Racing at Hickling Broad

Racing is at the heart of our club, welcoming sailors of all abilities from March to October. Our friendly, supportive programme includes regular events, enthusiastic fleets. 

Whether you want to improve, join club regattas, or simply enjoy the thrill of sailing with others, theres a warm welcome and opportunities at every level.

We have regular weekend opportunities for our less experienced juniors and young adults to have a chance at racing without any other boats getting in the way.

The Race course will be deliberately short to allow 2 quick races; a chance to practice timing starts and flag reading.
