RYA Training

As an RYA Approved Training Centre, we offer high-quality sailing and powerboat instruction for all ages and abilities. From beginners to experienced sailors, our courses provide structured learning in a safe, supportive environment.

We run a variety of RYA courses throughout the year — check our events calendar for dates. Our experienced instructors are passionate about helping members gain confidence, competence, and enjoyment on the water. New instructors are also welcome to join our team.

Inclusive for children and families

Were a welcoming, family-friendly club with activities for all ages. Children and young sailors can develop skills through T-Sails, RYA courses, and regular Sunday junior and novice races, with guidance from experienced fleet racers.

Racing at Hickling Broad

Racing is at the heart of our club, welcoming sailors of all abilities from March to October. Our friendly, supportive programme includes regular events, enthusiastic fleets, and a new junior racing pathway to help young sailors gain confidence and develop skills.
