We are delighted to welcome new and returning members to our friendly Broads sailing club for the 2026 season.
Whether you are an experienced sailor, completely new to the water, a paddleboarder, canoe enthusiast, or simply looking to enjoy time at our beautiful waterside club, we would love you to join us. Our club offers a welcoming community, great sailing, training opportunities, and a varied social calendar throughout the year.
2026 Membership
Membership for the next cycle will run from 1 April 2026 through to 31 March 2027. All 2025 memberships have been automatically extended until 1 April 2026, as confirmed at our AGM.
New Temporary Membership for Visitors available
If you are a holiday maker or a visiting sailor and what to join for a short duration please contact membership@scm.hicklingbroad.com to discuss your options.
This flexible membership can allow visitors to:
- Take part in club sailing and social activities
- Enjoy the club facilities during their stay
- Use selected club boats (subject to availability)
- Bring and sail their own boats
Please note: Temporary members bringing their own boats will be asked to pay a temporary berthing fee for the duration of their stay.
Its a great way to experience sailing on the Broads while visiting the area and become part of the club community.
Flexible Payment Options
To make membership easier and more flexible, we have introduced a new payment gateway through GoCardless, which allows you to:
- Pay in instalments spread the cost of larger invoices over time
- Pay in full settle your invoice in a single Direct Debit payment
You may also continue to pay by bank transfer, and we will soon introduce Stripe as an additional payment option.
New to Sailing? Start Here
Don't worry if you are new to sailing or don't have your own boat we welcome complete beginners!
Our RYA-approved training programmes, club boats, and friendly members make it easy to learn and enjoy sailing at your own pace. Holidaymakers and visitors can also join in social sailing sessions or try our club boats for a few days to see what its all about.

For new members or returning members from 2024 and earlier, you can apply for membership by clicking the Join button at the top of the menu bar.
