Sunday - Nineteen boats set out for the first race with only 11 completing the course due to the fresh easterly winds giving exciting sailing and many capsizes. The gybe mark in front of the club house caused problems to competitors and entertainment for spectators. Simon Feilden in his Phantom just managed to hang on after a gust hit him around the final gybe mark rounding to win over the water although he lost on handicap to Ian Bradley in his streaker. Numbers competing in subsequent races were got less as the wind strengthened during the day with only three entering the final race of the day which was won by James Jarvey who managed not to capsize at all.

Monday - Started with marginally lighter fresh winds and no capsizes in the first series of races. Matt Sayer defending the Mervyn Wright series cup for Lasers had a good start to the day winning the first race with a standard rig against Michael Cullum who had opted for the smaller radial rig. With the wind building all day the radial rig proved an advantage with Michael taking the final race from Matt and winning the series. The final race of the regatta was abandoned due to winds having reached a good force 6 - 7.
