22 Lasers raced at Hickling Broad Sailing Club on Sunday 20 April as part of the Eastern Travellers series. A fine drizzle and a steady easterly wind needed a committee boat start laid by PRO Simon Wolfe to obtain a good beat down the length of the Broad.
The first race produced another win for Martin Evans from Dabchicks after his success at Hickling last year. He was chased by Jarvis Simpson for second. The second race saw the same winner but this time Matt Frary from Oulton Broad took second place.
After lunch the wind picked up and Matt Frary won the last race. So Martin Evans won the trophy and first radial went to Jack Sheldrake from Hickling and first Hickling boat was Roland Shaw.
